September News at RLX Construction

A productive September for everyone at RLX Construction, with good progress being made across our projects, alongside some fantastic opportunities to support local causes and connect with others across the industry.

Progress at Barnsley Ward 19

We’ve continued to make good progress on our Barnsley Ward 19 project, where we are carrying out a full refurbishment of an existing ward, specially designed to support patients living with dementia.

The carefully considered space has presented some early challenges, as further remedial works were uncovered before the finishing works could begin. While this has meant some additional work along the way, our team has worked hard to address the issues and keep the project moving forward.

We’re looking forward to seeing the finished ward take shape over the coming weeks.

Supporting Ashgate Hospice

This month, we were also proud to take pride of place on the bonnet of James Hodson’s CVS Mazda MX-5, as he took on the Bangers & Cash challenge to raise money for Ashgate Hospice.

This year’s route started in Chesterfield before heading up to the Lake District and then into Scotland, taking in Glasgow, Loch Ness, Inverness, Aviemore and Edinburgh, before finishing in Whitby on the final day. Almost 1,000 miles, a £1,500 ‘banger’ and plenty of challenges along the way — quite the adventure for all those involved!

The team at Ashgate Hospice provides an exceptional service to people across North Derbyshire and the surrounding areas, offering vital palliative and end-of-life care. Fundraising and donations are essential in helping the charity continue to provide the care, support and services that families and individuals need when they need it most.

We’re delighted to have supported James and such a worthwhile local cause!

Industry Networking at Kapital

We also joined JAMB Architects and MAC Construction Consultants at Kapital in Sheffield for an evening of beer tasting, great food and networking.

It was great to catch up with some familiar faces and meet plenty of new ones too. A big thank you to both JAMB and MAC for the invite — we thoroughly enjoyed the evening!

As always, thank you to our clients, partners, suppliers and wider team for their continued support.

Here’s to another busy and successful month at RLX Construction!
