Exceptional Craftsmanship on Listed Building Restoration
At our ongoing listed building project in Sheffield, a major milestone has been achieved with the successful completion of specialist leadwork to three prominent domes.
The works have been carried out by highly skilled craftsmen using traditional techniques and materials appropriate to the historic significance of the building. Leadwork remains one of the most specialist trades within the construction industry, requiring extensive knowledge, precision and attention to detail to ensure both aesthetic excellence and long-term weather protection.
The completed domes are a testament to the quality of workmanship delivered by the team. Refurbishment Commences at a Second Sheffield Medical Centre
During May, RLX Construction also started works on another medical centre refurbishment project in Sheffield.
As with all of our projects, our team is working closely with the medical centre management to develop a phased approach that prioritises patient safety, maintains operational continuity and minimises disruption to staff and visitors.
A key feature of the refurbishment is the enabling works and installation of a new passenger lift, which will provide improved accessibility to the first floor and significantly enhance the building’s functionality for patients, staff and visitors alike.
Alongside the lift installation, refurbishment works will modernise areas of the facility, helping to create a more accessible, efficient and welcoming environment for all building users.
We are pleased to have secured another project within the healthcare sector and look forward to delivering improvements that will benefit the local community for many years to come.
Industrial Expansion Project Approaching Completion
One of our most significant projects currently on site is now entering its final stages, with works nearing completion on a major expansion scheme for one of the UK’s most reputable casting companies.
The project has involved extensive demolition and enabling works, including the removal of the existing concrete slab to make way for a substantial new structural floor construction. Following careful planning and engineering coordination, we have installed an extensive reinforced steel slab system designed to support the client’s future operational requirements and increased production capacity.
In addition, the installation of specially designed reinforced concrete walls has been completed, providing the robust structural performance required for this highly specialised industrial environment. The complexity of the works has required close collaboration between our site teams, structural engineers and supply chain partners to ensure the project is delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest standard.
This development represents a significant investment in the future of British manufacturing and is focused entirely on growth and expansion.
