Councillor Nick Harris Visits Rawtenstall Temporary Market Project

In October, we had the pleasure of welcoming Councillor Nick Harris to our Rawtenstall Temporary Market project. His visit came at a crucial stage of the development, as we successfully carried out a major crane lift to install the modular units that will form the core of the new market space. This was a key milestone, marking the transition from groundwork and infrastructure to the installation of the building’s structural elements.

During his visit, Councillor Harris took the opportunity to tour the site and speak with the project team. We discussed the broader vision for the town, including the positive impact this scheme will have on local businesses, community engagement, and the overall vibrancy of Rawtenstall.

This project is being delivered in partnership with CPC Project Services and MAKE (NW) Limited, on behalf of Rossendale Borough Council. We are incredibly proud to be part of this transformation, which will provide a much-needed modern retail and community space. A huge thanks to everyone involved for their continued dedication and hard work in making this vision a reality. We look forward to seeing the market open its doors to the public and becoming a central hub for the local community.

RLX Attends EDGE’s Inaugural Sheffield Sporting Lunch

RLX were delighted to attend EDGE’s inaugural Sheffield Sporting Lunch at The Company of Cutlers in Hallamshire. The event was a huge success, bringing together over 350 guests from Sheffield’s business community to raise money for four local charities that make a real difference in the region:

  • Fuse Alternative Provision
  • Links Sports Trust
  • Net4All
  • Always an Alternative

The event was filled with fantastic entertainment, including appearances from several Sheffield sporting legends and a particularly inspiring talk by Sir Geoff Hurst, England’s 1966 World Cup hero, who shared insights from his football career and his iconic role in England’s historic World Cup victory.

It was a truly memorable day, full of generosity, camaraderie, and shared commitment to improving the lives of others. You can read more about the event and its charitable impact here: Sheffield Sporting Lunch Brings Community Together to Support Four Local Charities – Edge

New Project at Weston Park Hospital in Sheffield

We’re excited to announce that RLX has begun work on a new project at Weston Park Hospital, one of Sheffield’s leading healthcare facilities. The project involves the refurbishment of two existing rooms to accommodate a state-of-the-art medical scanner. This new equipment will significantly enhance the hospital’s diagnostic capabilities, enabling better patient outcomes and improving the quality of care.

The refurbishment involves a comprehensive overhaul of the existing spaces to ensure they meet the specific requirements of the new scanner and the hospital’s high standards of safety and operational efficiency. The work is being carried out with minimal disruption to the hospital’s daily operations, and we are working closely with the hospital’s team to ensure everything runs smoothly.
