RLX Construction has embarked on two projects aimed at enhancing the infrastructure and services offered by Chesterfield Royal Hospital, with a focus on improving both staff facilities and patient care.
The first project centers on the refurbishment of the hospital’s IT department, a vital hub for supporting the technological needs of staff members. By upgrading the IT facilities, RLX aims to provide hospital staff with the tools and resources they need to deliver exceptional care to patients.
Simultaneously, we are remodeling existing offices located at the heart of the hospital, transforming them into a dedicated discharge area for patients transitioning from theatre. This area is designed to streamline the discharge process, ensuring that patients receive timely and coordinated care as they prepare to leave the hospital. By creating a specialised area within the hospital premises.
“We are proud to be working on these two important projects for Chesterfield Royal Hospital. Our team is dedicated to delivering high-quality construction solutions that meet the clients expectations” – Liam Kilner RLX Construction.
Our expertise in healthcare construction and our reputation for delivering innovative and practical solutions position us as a trusted partner in the enhancement of the hospital facilities. As work progresses on both projects, RLX remains focused on upholding the highest standards of quality, safety, and professionalism. With a keen eye for detail and a passion for excellence.
We also completed the installation and delivered a state-of-the-art modular shower block at an outdoor activity center. Navigating through the woodland presented logistic hurdles. To facilitate delivery, track matting was strategically laid through the grass mitigating environmental impact in the process. Designed with disabled access in mind, this facility underscores RLX’s commitment to fostering environments that cater to diverse needs and promote equal participation in recreational pursuits.

We also reached a significant milestone by handing over our ongoing project as part of the Safer Spaces Scheme at the Northern General Hospital in Sheffield. The project aims to create anti-ligature spaces within the hospital premises, prioritising patient safety and well-being. By implementing innovative design solutions and adhering to rigorous safety standards throughout.
Speaking on these recent developments, RLX Construction’s Ryan Spencer expressed enthusiasm for the positive impact these projects will have on the community. “At RLX, we take pride in our ability to deliver projects that not only meet but exceed the expectations of our clients and the communities we serve. Each endeavour represents an opportunity to make a meaningful difference”
