BRIEF

New build extension

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

The project consisted of the removal of an existing prefabricated building which had surpassed its lifespan. This was demolished back to the existing concrete deck, which then became the footprint for the new build extension.

The site was carefully segregated from the rest of the school to ensure we maintained health and safety of the children and staff. Careful planning and managing ensured we was able to arrange deliveries to site out of school working hours.

External works consisted of demolition to old building, new drainage to enable new layout and design, new build structure, flat roof with 25yr guarantee, facias, soffits, guttering, UPVC windows, controlled access aluminium doors, disabled access ramp and handrails, and steel canopy over main entrance.

Internal works consisted of new masonry and stud walls, mechanical and electrical works, sliding office wall, BM Trada approved fire doors, IPS toilet cubicles, staff room kitchen, decoration, suspended ceilings,  floor coverings.
